Change of leadership at Matrix Group
After five years as Chief Executive Officer, Rob Sparkes has decided to step down from his current role. Rob will continue to work as a strategic adviser to the Matrix Group and play an important role within the business.
Nicola Hindle will join the business as Matrix Group’s new CEO on March 24th. She will be supported by Rob and the board through an initial transitionary period.
Nicola is an experienced and capable business leader with many years of industry experience. Most recently, she was the CEO of BUUK, which comprises GTC, Power On, Metropolitan, Passiv, Levelise and Independent Water Networks. During her tenure, Nicola had full responsibility for delivering the strategy for growth and performance excellence, ensuring the delivery of last-mile solutions for today and net zero solutions for the future.
Welcoming Nicola to her new role Matrix Group Chairman Andy Milner said: “I am pleased to announce Nicola Hindle’s appointment as Matrix Group’s CEO. Nicola brings a substantial breadth of experience in delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions and dedication to providing an outstanding customer experience.”
“I would also like to thank Rob for his important contribution to the Matrix Group over the last 15 years. Rob started with Matrix as a Cable Jointer in 2009 and worked his way up the business through a number of key roles, before becoming CEO in 2020. He has had a remarkable career, and I am pleased that Rob has agreed to continue to work with us, offering his valuable insight, knowledge and industry relationships.”
